Can’t live without: Smoothies!
A good go-to smoothie or snack: Green Smoothie in the AM. For an afternoon treat, take a CEDAR nut milk, mix in some berries and BBO. Freeze in a popsicle tray and enjoy. Best creamy and refreshing summer treat with a hidden dose of extra nutrients.
Current FAV BBO recipe: BBO pancakes. I make a big batch on the weekend to keep refrigerated or freeze, then pop them in the toaster for a quick, healthy breakfast. See recipe below!
Best healthy tip: add BBO to anything!
If you could give just one piece of health advice it would be: The first 10 years of your child’s brain and body development is the most important. Pack those nutrients in!
Health trend to skip: Gluten free. If you’re celiac, that’s different. But all the mainstream products that are labeled ‘gluten free’ are packaged and processed. Gluten free doesn’t instantly make it healthy.
FAV brain activity: Games! My son is 4 and we love playing word and memory games. We also love being silly with words and rhymes. We make each other laugh. I’m just trying to keep up with him!
Simplest way to improve health: Plan ahead. Poor health choices are made when you are in a hurry. Eating in also helps because you know exactly what ingredients are being used and can have better portion control.

BBO Gluten and Dairy Free Pancakes:
Makes 12-14 pancakes
3/4 cup Baby Brain Organics (either BABY or KIDS)
1 large or 2 small ripe mashed bananas
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
coconut oil for the pan
Ingredients can be mixed together by hand (lumpier consistency) or blended (smoother consistency). Serve topped with maple syrup, almond butter or whatever you fancy!
