Cozy up your morning with this delicious smoothie bowl as we move into the cooler season.

FROM CUP TO bowl, smoothies are one of the best ways to power up your morning with extra nutrients, fiber and flavour. Creating balance in the morning is one of the key ingredients to sustaining a healthy lifestyle and smoothies are one of the easiest ways of maintaining it- especially when you prep the night before.

PUMPKIN is not the typical breakfast ingredient but it is definitely one of our favourites this season. From waffles to soups, pumpkin is one ingredient to stock up on as it is packed with fiber, nutrients and has a little natural sweetness. We have our reasons to love pumpkins but next to greens, this is a great vegetable to mix up your mornings. So put the cereal back in the cupboard and start your morning with this smoothie bowl…

INGREDIENTS:

Smoothie Bowl:

  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • 1 scoop Vanilla protein

Toppings:

  • 1 tbsp Hemp Hearts
  • 1 Tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Cranberries
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1 serving Fresh fall fruit
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • Pinch of Bee Pollen

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Top with toppings and enjoy!

TIP: For a little extra thickness & creaminess, add a tablespoon of yogurt or cashews and chill blended smoothie ingredients in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
