IN THE HEART of every hemp seed contain 25% protein and a high source of omega 3s- the good fatty acid our bodies can never have enough of. Hemp seeds are also a good source of vitamin E and minerals such as phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron and zinc. They also contain numerous amino acids like arginine- the amino acid that helps enhance blood flow and help you maintain optimal blood pressure. Which, in turn, can help strengthen your heart- our most important muscle. Other important benefits include:

  • HORMONE CYCLE BALANCE: The gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) in hemp seeds produces prostaglandin E1, which reduces the effects of the hormone prolactin- a hormone made by the pituitary gland. GLA in hemp seeds may also help reduce the symptoms of menopause.
  • HEALTHY SKIN: You’ve heard us talk to glowing experts about how to attain healthy skin but this is one of our favourite skin friendly foods. We tend to consume a lot of omega 6 foods; it can be hard and expensive to keep our omega 3 levels up. Their healthy fat content feeds our cells and reduces inflammation, which leaves us glowing inside and on the outside.

THIS PLANT based protein can power up your meal with just a sprinkle and you’ll instantly start to feel the difference they make. From baked goods, to salad toppings, to dressings, the possibilities are truly endless this ingredient as it has a creamy nutty flavour. Some of our favourite brands include Manitoba Harvest, Purity Hemp, Canada Hemp Foods, Hemp Oil Canada, and Nutiva. Manitoba Harvest also just released a great line of toppers to top anything from a smoothie bowl to a salad and more!
