Summer may officially be over but we want to extend it just a little longer and what better way than creating your own long weekend- well, at least the feeling of a long weekend. This is one of our favourite ways to quickly get alkaline, fight off sickness, and get a hefty dose of nutrients all in one gulp…
THERE IS NO DENYING IT, we love a glass of wine, cold beer or a glass of bubbly mixed with or without a cold pressed juice. Even when drinking occasionally and sticking to the most pure organic choices, alcohol consumption harms the body by putting major stress onto the liver, which in turn affects the immune system. Now that it’s officially fall and winter is near, we need to keep our immune system strong so we can indulge a little at the next big occasion- thanksgiving is around the corner!
IF WE’VE HEARD IT ONCE, we’ve heard it a thousand times: Vitamin C is an essential staple for warding off sickness and maximizing health. It’s the premier vitamin for immune function and for protecting the body against damage – meaning it’s your greatest ally when you’re coming down with the sniffles.
INCREASE YOUR LUCK and keep your immune system strong with incorporating cold press juices in your routine. Feel free to spritz things up with this refreshing immune boosting mocktail. Your luck will increase with every sip you take!
- 2 cups organic apple juice
- 1/8 cup of Lemon’s your lucky day
- Carbonated water
- 1 rind of lemon
- Combine apple and lemon juices.
- Fill glasses halfway with carbonated water and top off with the juice mixture.
- Garnish with a strip of lemon and enjoy!
TIP: For an extra dose of vitamin C, try mixing it with our Zest of the Bunch for that extra dose nutrients and citrus twist.
